Catching Contentment

Earlier this year organised an online retreat based on the book "Catching Contentment" by Liz Carter.

During the retreat Emma wrote a number of paintings and a poem which she shared with those on the retreat. Chris was inspired to create a song from the poem and this is the result. We hope you enjoy the song and that it speaks to you.

Lyrics

Catching contentment

With the sun on my face

Listening to bird song

A calm slower pace

Catching contentment

By the sea as it roars

Powerfully renewing

A natural force

Catching contentment

In every colour of love

Feeling God's presence

Sensed from above

Catching contentment

Observing the trees

Vibrant in every season

In snow, heat or breeze

Catching contentment

In a myriad of ways

A deep sense of peace

To comfort my days
